Can anyone share their experiences with Camptosar?

Hi All:

I was just curious if anyone who has been on/ is on Camptosar would be able to tell me about the side effects, results, successes, etc. they experienced. My father was recently put on this drug after all others had failed, so I'm very curious to see how it has worked for other people. He seems to have less stomach pains, but extreme diarrhea and a pimple-like rash. He is also losing even more weight, even though he's able to eat much more on this drug than on the previous ones. Any thoughts / stories would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    Is your dad on erbitux? That's what has caused my pimple like rash.
    Diarrhea from camptosar can be brutal. Imodium and sandostatin didn't do it for me. Lomotil helps. I try to stay ahead of it, ie. take it before the diarrhea starts. Doesn't always work out, but it's definitely more manageable than it was 3 weeks ago.
    Also...a low residue diet seems to help.
