Hi Cherri,
Glad to hear your surgery went well and that everything is 'working'. Sending best wishes for your meeting with your surgeon today. I had a similar surgical procedure, with permanent colostomy. Please feel free to contact me anytime, if there is anything you want to discuss. It is a big adjustment but, from my perspective (and with time!) really not that big a deal - it's OK.

I am so glad your sugery was a success. You really seem like a strong person. I can tell by reading your posts. That strength has gotten you through all of this and will continue to get you through the next few days while you are waiting for results from your surgeon. No matter what, I know you will be determined to get through what ever it is that you are dealing with. You are in my prayers.
God bless you,

Best of luck to you. I hope you get great news today! Having a colostomy is a HUGE adjustment. Let me know if you have any questions or run into trouble. Make sure you find out the name of your ET nurse...she will be a great help to you. It takes a lot of trial and error to get it right, but it does get better.
Good luck! -
