I'm back...
I had to take a short break. Things have been a bit crazy in my life for the past couple of weeks. As most of you know, my mom had a heart attack and was in the hospital for a week. I was there with her everyday practically all day. Then, this week we had another scare and thought she had another heart attack, but it was a false alarm. So, needless to say, I've been very busy with a new job and trying to be a caregiver for both of my parents now. They are doing okay, though. I have just been catching up on the posts and seems like a lot has happened since I've been away. Lots of new people on the site. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad, but I'm glad that all you newbies are turning to this site for support. It is truly a Godsend.
Anyway, my dad is going for his next CAT scan on Monday. He won't get the results until the following week, so we won't know for a while what the results are. I really hate when this time comes around. It seems to come around way too often. I guess I've been so busy with everything else in my life that I haven't really had time to think about the scan until today.
I'm just asking for prayers that my dad's CAT scan results will be good. My family could use some good news right about now, although I know things could have been a lot worse with my mom. I'm so thankful that she got a second chance.
I hope you are all doing well, and wish you all a happy 4th of July weekend.
Thanks, and God bless you all,
-Lee-

Hi Lee -
I was wondering about you. Glad you are ok.
I'm hoping for continued recovery for your Mom and wishing your Dad all the best for his CT scan on Monday. He doesn't know us, but tell him to imagine all these folks in cyberspace sending him good vibes and praying for good results.
Take care,

HiKanort said:Hi Lee,
It's great to see a post from you. Best wishes and prayers for your dad's scans, and yes, they come around way too often. How terrible to have to wait a week for results! It's great to hear that your mom is on the mend as well.
Stay in touch.
Hugs,
Kay
Hope the scan results are good ones. Did he ever try the avemar?
