so I'll try here to answer- Are you able to get a PET scan? Hi Jan, This is the only way I know of to get the details on location, how much it may have grown, etc. CT scan doesn't always tell the whole story.
To answer the question of pain, I have it back in 3 places, the abdomen is barely tender, but the liver causes pain that lets me know it's back. I'd gone to the doc 3 or 4 times in 04, complainging of a terrible "stomach ache". A ct scan turned up cancer on the liver. I had to do the biopsy to tell if it was ovc or a new one. So then took Carbo/Taxetere for 6 mos. and it actually got rid of it, but only for 6 mos. The doxil we are using now has given me a terrible rash, so I'm getting concerned that I won't be able to tolerate it. I think when the pain is always there, maybe that's a sign to do something. Wishing you all the best Jan. Let me know how it goes?
God Bless.
