Hi there again. I posted yesterday about what was going in with myself. I was just wondering if those dx.with pancreatic cancer have the CA19.9 test done. My CA19.9 test back in April 2006 was 48, now it is 65. Is this test indicative for pancreatic cancer or can it get elevated for pancreatitis.?? Any answer would help. Thanks Fran

I have read of people having an elevated CA19-9 test with three digit numbers. So 65 is not alarming as much as others. Also, my oncologist stresses that the CA19-9 test is not 100% accurate, there can be discrepancies and this may not even indicate any cancerous growth. On the other hand, my own numbers were 11, 14, 10, 17, 15 or something like that. I had decided not to undergo Chemo at all, so I don't know how much the damage to one's body from Chemo could affect the CA19-9 numbers in other ways. Who Knows? My next CA19-9 test is in November, and I know that if it goes above 20 I will be wondering why since it was always less than that, but so far so good. I know God must be looking out for me though so I try to just trust. Hope you do well Jim0
