Hi, hope everyone is doing well. I thought I would give you a bit of an update on me!
About 18 months ago I was diagnosed with rectal cancer, had j-pouch surgery with TME, and a temporary ileostomy. Had my ileostomy reversed in November, and they decided against chemo or radiation.
Last month I had my first post surgery colonoscopy, which came back all clear. I will be going for genetic counselling for HNPCC in the next couple of weeks. The docs are very pleased, I have a completely normal diet, normal function, and take no medication or supplements of any kind!
Ok, so since that time, I got myself 2 new kittens, changed jobs and started a PhD, sold my house and am in the process of moving, planned 2 overseas trips and bought myself lots of new shoes.
Oh, and I celebrated my 27th birthday last week.
Thanks all for your support.
