What I found after my radical hysterectomy (Endometrial Cancer, Stage 2b) was that when I took my pain meds, I felt fairly decent and did more than I should. When I didn't take them, I felt like crap. My surgery was 5 1/2 hours, and 2 hours after surgery I was wide awake. It was after leaving the hospital that reality set in. I'm still experiencing about 21 of the 35 most common surgical menopause, with crashing fatigue being the worst of them so far.
