NED (pretty much)
I just got back from getting my PET Scan results. I am pretty much NED!!! The edge of my liver where they lopped off a third of it showed some "uptake", but they think this is just because the liver is re-growing like it should and being highly metabolic. I'm not too worried about it. They are going to repeat a CT in June
My oncologist did scare me though when he walked into the room. He was VERY somber. Me and my mom thought he was going to give us bad news. It was like "Who wants to be a millionaire" when they psych you out into thinking you guessed wrong and lost all the money...But NO..wooooo!!!....big relief.
So I'm pretty jazzed...although I wasn't too worried about this test anyways. I guess it's the scans in a couple years that I will be less confident about. But...it will be inspiration for me to eat well, exercise often and live peacefully and joyfully until then.
Happy Spring,
Maria

"it will be inspiration for me to eat well, exercise often and live peacefully and joyfully until then"... Ya know, if there's a silver lining to cancer, it's the "life" lessons it teaches us... Well said - and I'm right there with you!
Be well!
