Maybe not famous but Coach Vince Lombardi - there is a clinic named after him and a cancer hotline.

He had surgery 6/27/70 with no evidence of metastic disease and died from it on 9/3/70.

"Many famous individuals have excited the public’s imagination and concern, who have suffered from colorectal cancer, such as Vince Lombardi, Audrey Hepburn, Darryl Strawberry, or Ronald Reagan."

Well better late than never. I may be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that Jackie Kennedy O.(can't spell the other last name) died from colon cancer or at least had it.
