Yesterday, I went for visit to my gastro doc to set up my colonoscopy, first since dx and tx. Got to talking with a 28 year old gal who has gone the run-around with pain AND BLEEDING for 4 months...FINALLY referred to a gastro for a scope.
And (sigh) she ALSO mentioned that she has a lump in her breast that they have been 'watching'...just like mine that was stage II cancer.
I've said it before, I'll say it again....
I HATE THIS BEAST!!!!!

Hugs,
Kathi

    Hi Kathi,

Me too! I hope you told her about our group just in case. I hope she is fine but want to make sure she has all the support she needs. I tell everyone I talk to about this site and our chat room since I know it helped me so much. It is horrible to see how many people are touched by this. I find more and more each day in talking to people about what I'm going through. HUGS!

Yup, it's sad but true, that more people are getting cc.

I talked to the surgeon who did my colon resection, he said he'd spent the entire previous week putting colons back together again - 5 cases, all in "young folks like you". He was visibly upset when he talked about it.

I agree Kathi. I just found out a friend's sister just passed away from melanoma. I am so sick of this beast. Will it ever end? I just pray there will be a way to stop cancer before it starts. In the meantime, I pray that all of us are able to win the battle against this monster. Fight!!! Fight!!! Fight!!! Blast those stupid a** cells from our bodies!!! Terri

I, too, am praying for a cure. I think if we all pray every day, maybe there will be a breakthrough. Researchers are making progress! Maybe someday our loved ones won't have to worry about this. I have lost a brother, father, and both my mom and I have had melanoma. I also have metastatic colon cancer. Pray!
