When I look to the sky and see a "rainbow" I think of my mum and dad and all my dear friends that have passed away. I have sent rainbows to my friends here because they are "the gift of love". Your mum has received that love and is in good hands. Look upon a rainbow with the memories of your dear mother.midnte0708 said:I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. We are so sad for you, may you find comfort in that she no longer suffers.

Im so sorry to hear about your mom. Its funny you said she opened her eyes at the end. I hear everyone does that. My grandmother did that and i was standing right over her. Till this day I believe she is my guardian angel. When ever I pray to her she listens and I beleive its because I was the last person she saw before she passed on. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dad. Mindykangatoo said:When I look to the sky and see a "rainbow" I think of my mum and dad and all my dear friends that have passed away. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I know you stood by your mom through her fight.
I haven't posted this in a while, but now seems like an appropriate time:
I'm Not Here
Do not stand by my grave and weep
for I'm not there; I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond's glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken, in morning's hush
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circle flight
I am the stars that shine at night
Do not stand at my grave and cry
I am not there; I did not die.

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I can really feel your pain. My mom lost her battle last night (3/22) at 10:45 p.m. with all of her daughters by her side. I hope you find comfort in knowing she will never have to deal with the monster again. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I offer my sincerest condolences to both of you, themis01 and gabor. I remember when I lost my own mother to colon cancer, and I know how difficult a time this is for you. I wish you the best for the future.gabor said:I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I can really feel your pain. Erika,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I know that there is nothing anyone can say right now that will make you feel any better, but know that you were a rock of support for her through the entire battle and you did everything you could. I know she felt that support and it was a great comfort to her. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Please call me if you feel like talking.
Sincerely,
Deneen
