Mohs procedure

I recently had the Mohs procedure three places on my face. My nose left an open area the size of a quarter. They did reconstruction the same day. Question---can anyone tell me how long the burning lasts? will the numbness ever go away? How long before the swelling is completely gone? How difficult was it to accept a change in your appearance? Please, if anyone can answer any of these questions.

So apparently these boards aren't used much and you posted a long time ago...how has it gone? I may be getting this procedure done in the near future...
I am having the Moh's done on a SCC place on the top of my ear in about 2 weeks. I am worried about the outcome. I can sympathize with all of u. Bill -
