    Hi, I've been on Arimidex for 3 years and have many friends currently taking it. None of us has had so much as a rash. Our complaints range from joint pain and weight gain to insomnia. This syndrome can happen as an allergic reaction to a number of drugs, Arimidex being one of them but it's very very rare. Do you or someone you know suffer from it as a result of being on Arimidex?

    Yes.... my mother has been taking arimidex for 4 months and has this syndrome. It would seem she has an allergic reation to this drug and has to stop taking it now.

    I'm so terribly sorry. Do the doctors feel that switching her to one of the other aromatase inhibitors, perhaps one manufactured by a different company, might be the answer?

    I am on Arimidex and have not heard of this syndrome.or a connection to the drug.
