Hi everyone,
Had my left lung nodule removed Tues. The entire lung was examined and no other nodules were found. Whew. 1 lymph node was removed because it had a few blood vessels around it, but I was sick the week before the surgery - we are not worried.
Everything could NOT have gone any better!! I felt good that night. I had some left chest pain (from the chest tube) but they turned up the epidural and it resolved.
Chest tube was pulled this am - and I went home this evening!!! YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My surgeon told me for the first time that based on the last CT scan he thinks I will be able to keep the upper lobe of my right lung (YEA). But we won't know for sure until the day of surgery. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I told my surgeon I was on an organic veggie diet and he said his mother in law is doing to same thing.
I feel great. My left side is a little sore, but man was this easy. I only hope the next one is similiar.
I feel great. My mom comes into town tomorrow to care for me.
I hope all of you are doing well and fighting a good fight. I keep all of you with me; in my thoughts and prayers.
Stay well, jana

Jana!!!
Such good news....so glad to hear surgery went well and that you may retain your upper right lobe in next surgery.
I myself was amazed at how easy my own liver surgery went. I had entire right lobe removed and was out of hopsital in 5 days with no complications since. Pretty darn amazing to me.
So glad you are feeling great. I'm feeling pretty darn good myself. I have one more surgery and one more chemo. I hope we both are looking at a much improved summer after this long year.
Warm wishes and hugs,
Maria0
