Hey, i'm 17 i have no history of cancer in the family, i have a slightly tight throat which has been like this for a couple years now, but i have no diffuculty breathing, swallowing or eating, i have no lumps on the throat or neck and i do have a cough which comes and goes periodically and i am prone to ear infections which has been the case for about 7/8 years, and i get occasional sore throats but take lozenges for it, nothing special and they go after a week or so, what is the chance that i have cancer of the throat, i'm quite worried about this asfter someone said in passing that i may have throat cancer ...

Hello,
You may want to contact the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center for information on the signs and symptoms of throat cancer. Cancer Information Specialists are available 24 hours a day at 1-800-227-2345. Hopefully this will put your mind at ease.
Take care and be well,
Dana
