The possibility of not being able to get pregnant has been on my mind alot lately. I was 8 years old when I first started chemo, I was on it for a little over 2 years. Now thats I'm a young women I'm concerned about how the chemo might have affected my ability to get pregnant. Does anyone else share my concern or have any advice or anyting about this?

    Hi Swimcoop,
Can I suggest going to this webpage
    www.cancergen.com/fertility
for links to various websites relevant to the subject of cancer and fertility. You could also post onto one or more of the forums listed there. The US organisation National Infertility Association (RESOLVE) on its website at
    www.resolve.org
has very active forums on fertility.
You could also go to this website
    www.cancergen.com
and see if there is a webpage for the type of cancer you were treated for as a child - you may find info about childhood chemotherapy and its affects on adult fertility on a website devoted to that cancer type.
You may find useful info on this page
    www.fertilehope.org/resources/faqs.cfm
    and on this website
    www.lls.org/hm_lls
I hope this helps a bit, and good luck!
