Mets to Bones

My husband has NSCLC mets to R. Humerus (2" bone removed + pin & plate), L. Knee (total knee replacement), on follow up Drs say the cancer may be returning in both places. Although my husband is the eternal optimist we are still worried, is there anyone out there who has had similar problems. We visit the oncologist tomorrow and hope that there is something that can slow this down to a crawl as it apprears to be progressing rapidly. Many thanks & god bless.
