Hi Kathern, The women's gym is an excellent idea. Support groups are also great. I had surgery and received treatment in the community where I live so they put me in touch with the local Reach to Recovery group. We meet the first Tuesday of each month in one of the conference rooms at the hospital. Frequently we have speakers but sometimes just share out personal stories and experiences with treatment or answer questions for the newest members. I love it and have grown quite close to several of the women. Your local chapter of the American Cancer Society will have information about Reach to Recovery in your area. Here's their address and phone number. Give them a call.
