Dr Visit

It was another long and frustrating day! I found out I was scheduled to have a ct scan Tuesday, but no one called and told me ..... sometimes weekly visits to the clinics add up to headaches and frustrations. Oh well now that I got to complain I feel better. :-)
Now here is the latest.
Today was my Dr Appointment with the oncologist. I am staying on the daily dose of docetaxel for another 2 weeks, on the 18th a CT scan is scheduled and a CA125 will be drawn. Then a phone consult with the Dr to go over results. If my ca125 is down and the CT scan is good I will continue in the research study, but if not we'll start on a new chemo after I've been off this one for 2 weeks.
I asked how the other women were doing and he said they've had at least a little drop in the tumor markers and some have had significant drops. This didn't sound like a good sign for me but I still haven't given up hope. However after the visit a little fear crept in, but only for a moment.
The CT scan will be of my chest, abdomin and pelvic area. I have been dealing with some upper and lower abdominal pain and shortness of breath so was relieved it would cover all of this area. I was told it could be the cancer has gone to lymphatic system that goes to the lungs, or it could be fluid or inflammation from the drugs, this is what the Dr said.I will be relieved to know it is just from all the drugs and as I told him could be from the three years of being on chemo.
Well that is about it, thanks again for all the prayers.
Prayers and Hugs Bonnie
PS I know this verse has been posted here more than once but as I was feeling that fear creep in, it came to my mind and my heart. I know it is okay to be afraid and definitely different than being fearful. Fearful I am not as God always has me.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

Praise God for His promises, His faithfulness and His hand in all things. I'm glad that you still have something to hold on to - we all ALWAYS have hope. Keep us up-to-date on your upcoming tests, etc. I so needed to hear those words of faith today. Hugs.
Monika
P.S. Another Isaiah moment: For they will mount up with wings as eagles - they will walk and not be weary - they will run and not faint. Bonnie, I see His strength in you!0 -
Bonnie, I'm still here and praying for you but I haven't been on the computer much and probably won't have the time for it. My daughter is pregnant (due date Feb 12) and on total bed rest. (preclampsia) They're both going to be okay but she needs lots of help. Take care and keep us informed. Paula0
