I recently joined the Network because my mother-in-law is fighting ovarian cancer. She was first diagnosed in April 04. She had surgery & chemo immediately. Surgery got 95% of the cancer. The cancer went into remission in Oct 04. It was back in May of 05 & after chemo was in remission again in Aug. The first of Nov it was back again. My mother-in-law has chosen to use only alternative methods of healing. She is in alot of pain & refuses to see her regular doctor. Her alternative dr keeps telling her of some "new age science" in which he only has to draw blood from her one time because her dna is in the blood. According to the dr the dna causes the sample to change as her body changes. Has anyone else heard of this? Someone please tell me that it is really possible for this dr to be helping her. We love her very much & would like to see what we can do to support her besides just trying to not tell her we believe her dr is wrong. What can we do?
