CEA results-need help

Hi everyone. I haven't posted in quite a while but I'm on the boards frequently checking on you and praying for a cure. We just received the results of my mom's CEA level and the numbers are just impossible to believe. Has anyone ever had a CEA level of almost 3800? This is no mistake. After an emergency CT scan and chest x-ray the doctor called to give the preliminary results. With a reading that high we weren't surprised to hear that mom has mets to the lungs, liver and stomach. This monster is no stranger to my family. Dad was diagnosed in 2002 and lost his battle Nov 2004 and hubby was diagnosed Stage III in May 2004 but currently NED. I know my mom's prognosis is very grim but I just have to ask if anyone has any suggestions that can buy my mom some more time. We haven't met with the oncologist yet but seeing how rapidly my mom is deterioring, I'm concerned that she won't be able to tolerate chemo. Thanks for any suggestions, experiences or advice you can share.
Wishing you all peace, love and health this holiday season.
