    Hi Maria, just want to add my little story. I had a hemicolectomy and liver resection on Dec. 20 1993! I was in a single room opposite the Nurses Station. All staff were just terrific to me and I was treated like a queen. Do not ever think that holiday time will be off time for hospital staff, I found the very opposite was true, just a thought!
