Hello
I'm trying to keep busy this weekend. My daycare mom's grandson is spending the night tonight with my kids and she picked me up a birthday cake so we can have a little party. Then tomorrow night, I am having.....ok how do I put this delicately.....an "adult toy" party! There will be about 20 women and lots of alcohol. I'm sure I will be quite entertained. Wish some of you girls lived closer!!
Anyway, I feel better just coming here. Hope you all have a great weekend.
Linda

Firstly, I have to say Happy Birthday, Linda, even though you are feeling so sad. It makes it more distressing that it is also your wedding anniversary. In spite of your sadness, you are doing the right thing in keeping busy and with some interesting activities planned, I see!!
You have shown such courage and continue to do so, but of course you will miss Scott and you will shed tears. Take care of yourself.

Hi Linda,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I guess my question is, "Since we can't attend personally, can we place mail orders?" lol...I think that is just what you need right now, a get together with your friends to try to get some sort of normalcy.
Have a great weekend, take each day as it comes,

Linda,
Happy Birthday. What would we do without our girlfriends? Enjoy your evening with them, wish I could be there with you. You seem to be doing well. You will always miss Scott, especially on those special days, but cherish his memory and know that he is always close in your heart.
Fondly,

Hi Linda"
First of all Happy Birthday...secondly...I don't believe it was a coincidence that your girlfriend sent you flowers (unless she always does each year?) if not- then I believe it was just another way that Scott had of keeping the tradition (ask your friend what made her think to send you flowers?)
I really really believe that when our loved ones die they are not "gone" but their spirit or whatever stays around to be with us...I have a really strange story attesting to that- just try to believe that our loves will find a way to continue to communicate with us..all we have to do is listen..
Sorry if this sounds "really out there"- no I don't believe in seances- contacting "the dead" etc...just that the power of love lives on and death does not stop it.

Happy Birthday, Linda
I am always so impressed when I read your posts, and am reminded of the support that we patients get from those that love us. I hope that you have the best birthday possible and that they only get better over time. It sounds like you have some people who are there to support you. May you find healing during this difficult time. It's nice that you can come here and feel better.
Best and warmest regards,

Happy birthday Linda. Many of my friends here in OZ know how much I think of you guys over the briny. In conversation there are always the names of our dear friends who have passed on mentioned..and Scott is one of them. We will never forget our departed friends nor those that are left behind. That will be with us for the rest of our my lives. Hold on to your memories Linda..and to those who shared your grief.rthornton said:Happy Birthday, Linda

Linda, HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I am so sorry that is late in coming. Haven't been here in a while.
I think of you and Scott often. How are you doing? It must have been a couple of tough days.
I agree with Bev, about the flowers. I SO believe in signs thatguide us.
So....what did you get? Want to tell?
I hope you enjoyed yourself. Youknow that's what Scott wants for you. Happiness.
Love to you, my friend,
Barb0
