Found a lovely poem by Patience Strong...could almost be used as a prayer(?)
Lord, this is a special time for me,
And more than love & human sympathy,
I need the comfort of the conciousness,
That Thou art nigh to strengthen & bless.
Lord, I've never come this way before,
I need Thy word my courage to restore,
I need Thy hand to reach for fearlessly,
In the ordeal that lies ahead for me.
Now in my weakness, Lord, I need so much,
The balm & blessing of thy healing touch,
Thee I have failed - yet I dare to say,
Be Thou my friend & meet my need this day.
