Hi everyone, I was wondering to be NED did you have to have surgery to remove the tumor or did anyone become Ned from just Chemo? Also what is your exprience on how quick the tumors grow back after chemo. My dads tumors shrunk very small and he has stoped chemo. Im just curious how quickly they can grow again. I understand every person is different. Thank you

Hi Mindy,
I know of two people who were pronounced "NED" and they never had surgery. Their remaining "tumor" was considered just a "benign" lesion or cyst not displaying any malignancies. One had chemo and the other person went the all natural alternative route.
As far as growing back I have no idea how fast it could grow, probably like you said everyone is different.
Take care,

My understanding is that NED just means no evidence of disease -- regardless of what type of treatment/approach one has followed. I don't have a good answer as to how fast tumours can grow again. Hopefully never!! Have your dad's docs suggested a follow-up schedule? (for CT or PET or scope?).
Best wishes0
