Well, My pa had surgery 10-27-05. He had some complications with blood loss and vomiting but he is doing much better. He started a liqued diet again yesterday and is tolerating it well. His ileostomy is now starting to eliminate fluid.
I was able to meet the stoma nurse yesterday and she showed us some tapes on care. I must say I was a bit sad about the entire situation but glad my pa is tolerating it well. He had an infected staple the doctor removed from his incision. The Dr. left it open to heal. I was able to see that as well. I was a bit shocked to see the deep opening however, I kept a "cool" look on my face becouse my pa was looking at me.
My Pa should leave the hospital this weekend we hope, Thanks for everyone support.
