Radiation for liver mets anyone?

I just read an interesting article about a new targeted radiation treatment for the liver that accurately pinpoints the tumor and leaves other areas undamaged by the radiation.
Apparently it's a new technique just developed and 88% successful in controlling liver tumor growth.
Here's the link

I was wondering if any of you with liver mets have had radiation? My fathers doctor mentioned it as an option but I guess they always start with chemo....
If this is so good I wonder if it's possible to skip the chemo and just do this???

yes, I have heard of this- they are doing some clinical trials for this in Canada..I think it is called something like SRT?..I believe it is used in conjunction with chemo- and that would be fabulous if it works!!
