Well- the cat confirmed the ultrasound in that there are multiple lessions on the liver- so my love is now officially stage 1V..he will be starting standard chemo (xeloda and irinotican)and we are hoping to be able to find avastin (it has been approved in Canada but the onc isn't sure we actually can get it???)
Would love to hear some positive news from other stage IV's who have (or had) liver mets..my head is still really in a fog trying to digest this- but I am happy he is being treated...and the Onc has said there are lots of good survival stats out there compared to even a few years ago?
Thank you everyone so much for all your past help and responses...if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't even know the treatment options available. You all are angels here on earth!!!

Bev:
I was dx'd last dec 04 w/ stage IV colon cancer and liver mets. I had a tumor in my sigmoid colon along with three 1 cm lesions on my liver. After 3 cycles of 5FU/Lucevorin and Oxilaplatin, the three lesions on my liver were gone, and to this day they have yet to return. Since then I've completed 12 cycles of chemo, a colon resection, and 5wks of radiation. This last Monday I got the results back from my CT Scan and there is no evidence of disease in my colon or liver:0) However, there is now a suspect 3-4mm(tiny)nodule on my left lung, could be cancer, could be something else, I'm hoping for the latter, but preparing for the former, I'll cross that bridge when I get there...
