Hi, my father has been recently diagnosed with NHL stage 4. He is started with chemo now. Its just been 2 days. I was totally devastated but now trying to cope up. Is anybody out there in the same age group? Please share you experiences.

Hello,
You may want to search the personal web pages to see if there are other members in this same age range. To do this, click on "Personal Web Pages" on the left hand side of the page. Then enter the search criteria you are looking for. If you find someone you are interested in contacting you can do so through the CSN internal email system.
Take care an be well,

My father is 72 and was diagnosed with low grade stage 3 non-hodgkin's lymphoma right before Christmas 2005. He has started treatments and seems to be doing very well with the exception of the first day. The rituxan caused him to be very sick and chilled but they got that under control and said it was not unusual for the first treatment to do that. His doctor seems to think he can do well with this due to his great health. My father has always been very active and we hope this will help with his treatments. We are a very close family and like you it was very devastating to learn this. We are all being very positive toward him and we are thankful for each day we are together. He has a great outlook and takes the nurses candy every time he goes for treatment...they call him the candyman! Any way i would be glad to stay in touch and let you know how things go. Keep your chin up...he needs your smile now more than ever.0
