Lung cancer with benign pleural effusion

Hi there. I am from Canada and my father has been recently diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer with pleural effusion. We had the fluid biopsied and don't have the results yet. I am wondering if there is anyone out there that has had lung cancer with a benign pleural effusion. Thanks
