Thoughts on Relay

I never really volunteered for anything before...I have a demanding job and work was always busy enough for me. Ever since being diagnosed last December I've wanted to somehow help others with cancer. Then I found out about ACS Relay for Life. At first I couldn't believe teams would walk around a track for 24 hours, especially here in Southern California where it's been particularly HOT. I helped last weekend with registration for a "baby" relay...one being held for the first time and I was amazed! Not only were people willing to walk for 24 hours, they raised more money than anticipated! All to help combat cancer. Truly inspiring. Can't wait to volunteer again.
