I know a woman who has ovarian cancer mets. She started Avastin earlier this year, and is really excited about the positive results she and her doctors are seeing. She did not have any terrible side effects to report.
It was not covered by her insurance at first, but recently it was ruled they would cover it, and they have reimbursed her for the initial treatments. I don't know if this would apply for uterine cancer.
From what I understand about how it affects cancer cells, it sounds as though it will be used for many different types of cancers in the future.0
