    Rosie,
You will be having a lot of things happening in the near future and will have to make decisions. Do not think you are alone -- almost everyone in this discussion group has been diagnosed with breast cancer. People are here to support you, listen and answer any questions you may have. Don't be afraid to ask questions -- no question is stupid or unreasonable. Do you have some specific questions right now?

Thoughts and prayers are with you

    Rosie,
Like Mary said there are many like you here. I am an 8 year survivor and though things have drastically changed in my life due to my disease I have to say nothing says that life can't get better. I have learned to accept all there is about myself and have moved on from that the best that I can. Doesn't mean I don't have my times of pure fear, another problem to address. I have a clear understanding that what I was doing before wasn't working so am doing the best I can now to be that Difference in my own life as well as others.
Be good to yourself first, being your own best friend,

Been there and done that 5 years ago. Lumpectomy 4 cm with 13 out of 27 positive lymph nodes. You might go check out some of the websites here. Most of us have our own and that should paint a clearer picture of our stories.
I also have a website independent of this one at www.urcctc.com
God bless you girl and welcome to the "club".

    Rosie,

I was diagnosed in April 2005. I had 12 of 15 lymph nodes positive for cancer. I'm currently half way through my treatment and for me, the worst of it was the diagnosis. I remember the head spinning thoughts after leaving the drs office. I made the mistake of going straight to work and having a severe breakdown in the office. But, believe me, things will get brigher. The sun still rises every morning and that's what I'm thankful for. I watch the news and there is death and destruction everywhere everyday and I say to myself "I'm still here". You will have your depressed days. Everyone on this board can attest to that. But you will find yourself smiling more with each passing day. I promise!

    Pease and blessings,
    Josie

I went Thorugh Breast cancer 14 years ago in November 1989 and had a right modified radical mastectomy and went through a total of 6 months of Chemotreatments back then and a new breast cancer was found in February of 2003 and I had a left radical mastectomy and a total of 4 chemotreatments. I lost all my hair two years ago and was sick to my stomach .14 years ago I did not loose my hair it just thinned out. I still stay tired from my treatments . You will propably have a portacath put in depending on how your veins are . Ports are easier than the veins.
Right now you are going through a storm in your life but keep your Trust in the Lord he will see you through this storm in you r life. We all go through a storm in our life and breast cancer is not easy there is a book at Wal _mart called chicken soup good for the soul it is about breast cancer it is very good I'll let you know about some thing else when I think of it .
