Hi all,
Just thought I would give a couple of tips that I learned whenever I had my colostomy. This may sound a little gross but it really works. Spray your new bag on the inside with a little Pam cooking spray. (A can a bought particually for this purpose) Just fold up the bottom, because if you get it too close to the end, the clip won't stay on. But, it really does make everything slide right out! Also, to clean my bag, I always used a water bottle with a pull top lid. You can squeeze it in, very easily and clean everything out. Also, someone told me but I didn't learn of it till after my bag was reversed, that if you put an aspirin in your bag, it really cuts down on the odor. I don't know if that is true or not. Maybe these tips will help somebody, I hope so.

    cool beans..everyday household items to increase friction and decrease fragrance..also a good idea to leave a little air in the bag-helps the
    poop go down the scoop.. bud

    I got a little step stool for my laundry/mud room sink for easy cleaning access. I have an account set up with my bag supplier and ordered some of their cleaner for the sink. All is billed directly to my insurance company so it is very easy. I really liked Asp's idea of the incense too. Candles work well too.
