any 20 something surivors?

I had cancer when I was 14 and am now 23. And a mom to 2 wonderful boys! (After doctors told me I would never have children). I has osteosarcoma in my left knee and have a knee replacement. I have been having a hard time dealing with the whole thing lately. I know it has been 9 years but I will need a new knee replacement and the emotions are taking a toll on me. Any survivors out there that want to talk?

It is rough. I am 24 and I was diagnosed at 21 with lung cancer. I turned 22 in the hospital. Insdead of getting drunk or havin fun with friends I was high on all the drugs they gave me in the hospital. The thing is if u feel like crying then do it. I found the best way of dealing with it was to get it all out. You can e-mail me on here anytime even just to vent. I hope things get better for you.

Hey,
I'm 9 years out also. I was diag. w/ Hodgkins when I was 17, and now I'm 26. I would be happy to talk, and am also thinking about my experience a lot more lately. In May, I went to a conference in Montana for young adult survivors. It was the first time I'd been around other people who shared my experience. It was amazing, but also stirred up a lot of emotion for me. I'm not sure how this msg board works, but please get in touch if you want to talk.

Hi, My name is Maria and I had Non-hodgkins Lymphoma when I was 16. I am now 28. I had to get chemo for over 2 years but have never had any set backs so I am thankful for that. I want to reach out to others and help them but I don't know how.

I was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer when i was 14. Now I'm 23 and haven't needed treatment in about 3 years.

Hi. I'm Ali. I was diagnosed with GTD (Gestational Trophoblastic Disease) when I turned 16. Pretty much, I learned something was seriously wrong with that pregnancy ON my sweet 16. Yipee. I'm now 26 with two children that doctors said I wouldn't have. One is 6 and the other 4.

I had 1/4 of my uterus removed, dealt with 3 cycles of one form of chemo, two cycles of another. But did eventually reach remission. And two years later heard the word "cured".

I'm 10 years past treatment, the emotions are still there. And...I'm waiting on some test results now to check my cell counts...
