Update on Mom's Plan of Action

We met with Dr. Sugarbaker and he determined that she is a candidate for liver surgery and the peritoneal chemical wash. We know it will be intense but realize surgery can lead to a cure. He said it will be a tough surgery but the5 rounds of chemo have made things very very small. He talked about the cloning of colon cancer cells. Does anyone have any info. on this? I wasn't clear as to whether they clone themselves right away and that is why the cancer comes back????

Erika,
I will hold your mother in my prayers. It is great that she is a candidate for the surgery and chemo procecure. Thank goodness.
Never have heard of colon cloning. That is an interesting subject and maybe some of our more technically/medically/chemically inclined will be able to help us out.

Ahoy, Erika -
Thanks for the update on your mom. No doubt Nanuk will zap you a link to a wealth of info on cancer cloning (I wonder why they would do that?) - Nanuk is sort of like having your own personal "Ask Jeeves"!
Keeping you and your mom in my prayers.
