We Can Beat this Disease
I just returned from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. I had a battery of tests to see how my regimen was doing since my recurrance last November - well, my CT scan came back normal, colonoscopy was clean and clear also.
We can beat this disease!! I will go back again in 3 months to be checked again, but until then I will be on cloud 9.
Thank you all for all your good wishes. I held you all close to my heart during the past few days of anxiety. You are all in my prayers as you go through your fight.

Great news, Kerry. I think all our lives on this board go in three month cycles......joy when we are tested and get good news which lasts until the pre-testing period approaches when the anxiety set in again. We just have to make the most of the joyful period!0

You are correct Ali. Thanks for your good wishes. I think our only moment of complete relief is the moment our doctor says NED. Then the anxiety starts all over again. But I savor those few moments of "all clear".alihamilton said:Great news, Kerry. Congratulations Kerry. Thanks for the delightful news.
I wasn't able to get online at all because of the strong side effects from the first round of chemo. Just recovered from that and wanted to say hi to all the lovely friends in "semi-colon." Reading your good news have made my day!!
YES! WE CAN BEAT THIS DISEASE!!
You are in my prayer...

Rosa Honey... If you're reading this, I hope you're doing ok. I know the nasty side effects. We all do.. hang in there. I ended up back at the hospital (dehydration) but guess what? My CT scan showed the tumor on my liver was shrinking. Let us know if we can help you. God bless darlin! Huggs your way.. WandaAuthorUnknown said:Congratulations Kerry. Thanks Kerry for the great news. Yes we can beat this disease and I'm trying my darnest to do it. I feel like my tumor is starting to shrink, but it may just be wishful thinking. Hubby says it looks like it. Not to be gross, but we all talk butt talk here. My husband looked at where the tumor is growing and it goes from my vagina to my tailbone, where my rectum and anus used to be. It was supposed to have healed from the inside out, but never did. Tumor grew instead. Please everyone keep the prayers coming. I know too how the wait on scans can be, but right now, just enjoy all clear tests. I'd be on cloud 9 too. Who knows, I may join you there soon. Who knows? God only knows. Well, hang in there and whatever you're doing, keep up the good work. Keep us updated though.
Love and prayers, Judy(grandma047)0 -
