Freaking out

I am right now having strong anxiety. I can't sleep at night because I am scared of dying. I am coming up on my 6years old. I got Overian cancer when I was 16. I delt with things great as far as i could tell. But i think i just hid all of my feelings. I want to sleep but I can't i am scared of leaving my fiancee and baby. Is anyone else dealing with post trauma events anxiety? Need to talk to someone who has been through this (cancer or both)

I am so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. I think sometimes as women we try to be strong for everyone else and forget to take care of ourselves. We hold things in until we can no longer and then it all comes out at one time. Talk to the women on this board. That will help. It will also show you that you are not alone. I cried all day when I had my 5 year check up. I felt all of these emotions and could not hold them in any longer. I feel much better now...but I think this board helps me. These other women are all so caring and no one else but an ovarian cancer survivor truly knows what you are going through. You too will get through this but remember sometimes we need a little medical intervention whether it is anti-depresants or an herbal remedy. Good luck to you and your family!

Sorry to hear about your anxiety. Sometimes a person does need to take something to help. Have you been in for annual exam to help put your mind at rest and make sure nothing is wrong. When you do go tell them about being anxious. I know going out for a walk helps me.

Don't freak - Pray. I had, have ovarian caner and have a five year old daughter. I think about it almost everyday but worring is not solving the problem. All we can do is take care of ourselves and pray. Seriously.!
