biopsy to rule out IBC

I am scheduled for a biopsy to rule out IBC. The
doc said he would take a section crescent shaped
a couple of inches wide. Has anyone had this done and how long does it take to heal. Can I return to work within a few days? How long does it take to get diagnoses from this type of biopsy?
