Need help!

Hi, My neighbor's 30 something son had surgery and radiation for a oligodendroglioma and now has some mental changes that make him unable to work. He is getting no follow up, has no job, no medical insurance. His dad is wondering if he might be able to get SS disability. He's done some research but just deadends so far. Any suggestions for this man and his son?

    I had surgery almost five years ago, and I get SS I was 37 when I had the surgery and had many years of work behind. If the doctors feel he is not capable of working he should be eligible for SS every state and doctor is different. I wish him all the best. Has he applied for medicade for health insurance? That should help him, it takes time to go thru all the red tape but its worth it if you have no health coverge or job..it will take some time though.

    hi my name is mark im 52 i had to go SSD and im collecting it now call S.S. tell them govt leans towrd brain cancer patients to receive assistence

    hi my husband is 33 and has the same thing stage III the doctors told us to apply for ss as soon as he got out of the hospital. it only took two weeks to get an approval letter but you have to wait six months for your first check. my husband has had the same job for 15 years and it has been really hard for him to have to stay home and not be able to drive until he is seizure free for six months. good luck

    I had a grade 2 oligo removed in 1997,and got on social security right away,without any hassles.I was on it for 2 years.then I got bored,and went back to work part time and they cut me off. Then in 2004,the tumor reacurred. I applied for disability again,and was turned down.I went to Binder and Binder, and they got my disability started again.I can not work because of seizures. Tell your friend that he should look up Binder and Binder on the net. terbear58.
