My mother is suffering from malignant melanoma. She has to have surgery to remove lymph nodes in her groin. I was wondering if anyone knew the life expectancy for this situation. My sister and I are both expecting and I want to know how long my mom will be around.

If you want to find facts either call as suggested or just do an internet search or search cancer.org. There are lots of good sites. But honestly the numbers can be pretty scary sometimes so don't let them get you down. Regardless of the prognosis stay positive as the extra stress won't help you or the baby. And I bet the excitement of being able to see your and your sistes little ones will be MORE than enough motiviation for her to fight this with everything she's got.
Good luck, & you all will be in my thought!!!
