the good side of cancer

Boy you sure miss alot when your computer is down! It is so nice to be able to read the posts again. Disappointing to see some of the sadder news, and the frustrations (Griff), but the comedy of colon prep and the excitement of a doc who gets it is so encouraging. MKPollit, your story is the same as my fathers. He has now had round 3 and is doing really well. Just fatigue. I remember panicking the night before his 1st treatment if it was worth it, and the posts here really helped. So, if there is a good side to cancer, it's finding out who you are, how much stronger you are than you thought, and this site.

I think there are many good sides of cancer, not that I'd wish them on anyone. But it certainly has deepened my appreciation of life, friends, family, nature. A major learning experience in all kinds of ways.spongebob said:Right on, Colsie!!

I agree. I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone, but I know how strong I have become because of it. My husband is more loving than he has ever been. My daughter and son are more close than they have ever been, And, each time we part, we say "I love you". Life takes on a different meaning and you see what is truly important in life. For me, it is God first, then family and then friends. Material things mean nothing, They will fade away just like dust, But love always remains, Now I'm crying. "sob" I just want to take this opportunity to say I love all of you. You have always been there for me and I hope that I've helped some of you too,
Love and prayers, Judy(grandma047)0
