Thank you everyone
Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes. I see there have been alot of posts while I have been gone. I have alot of reading to catch up on. I am slowly recovering, but I am sooooo glad it is over.
I continue to pray for everyone on this board, those of you that are just starting on this terrible journey and also for those of you that have met obstacles in your treatment. This is such a terrible disease, but I keep thinking it could be worse. That and my family have kept me going. Now I have the cruise in March to get better for. I am glad none of you will see me in a bathing suit. What a sight I will be. LOL
Thanks again, you are a great group. Maureen

Glad to have you back Maureen! If you have any colostomy questions, I'll be glad to help out. And I'm so excited for your cruise... That's awesome! Perhaps sporting a bikini will be tough now, but tankinis are so adorable and can camouflage the pouch. I have this one that is super low cut in front... Figure I'll distract them with my chest so they won't even notice the bag!LOL. Men, you gotta love them.
Seriously Maureen, I'm happy all is well. Rest, relax, take time for you. This is the first day of the rest of your life. And life is awesome outside the bathroom!
Be well,

Maureen, Glad to hear that you are doing so well. Your general health must be very good for you to get through the operation and recovery so smoothly. That is awesome. I was resentful when I was diagnosed with cancer. I don't smoke, run every day and eat healthy, yet had rectal cancer at 36. However, my oncologist commented that I made it throught he difficult year of treatment and surgery becasue of that condtioning, and have lived an extremely healthy life post-cancer despite such an awful year. Anyway, glad to hear that things are going well and that you are looking forward to your cruise. We ALL deserve looking forward to something. Keep up the good work,0
