Dear fellow survivors,
I am visiting over from the colorectal page. I am a 22 year old rectal cancer survivor. I was wondering if any of you ladies would be willing to jot down a few words about your experience. I am doing a 60 km walk to end breast cancer in August and I'm putting together a donation letter. You certainly don't have to put a name or id on the short bio.. I am hoping to compile a few stories on survivorship to bring the letter to life. If you could say a few things... How old at diagnosis, diagnosis, tx protocol, what sustains you, your hopes and fears. I am very committed to the cause as I lost one of my friends to metastatic breast cancer and, let's face it, no matter what cancer you have it ALL SUCKS! If you could e-mail the stories to me either in the inbox or at "AndreaElder145@hotmail.com" or "Andrea.Elder@mail.mcgill.ca". Thanks girls and have a great night!
Hugs,
Andrea

I was diagnosed at the age of 29, almost 30. I had breast cancer and it had spread to my lymph nodes. I had 17 removed and 2 had cancer, so I went through both chemo and radiation and a lumpectomy. I had and still have pain and numbness, but I find strength in God and in my family who helps me get through this. If you need anything else please let me know. I have been a survivor for 5 years at the end of this year and I want to become more involved in some way, so please contact me at cblasingame@hotmail.com if you need anything else. God bless and good luck.
