i had voice box removed and that was one of the things that made me go to the doctor to begin with was the pain in the ear on the same side, now that i have went to radiation, i was having some pain in the other ear about half way thur the radiation, it has gone away since then, it did scare me for sure because it was like the pain on the other side, if you still have it, you need to ask the doctor about it.
Good Luck
