Hair Thinning

Is anyone experiencing hair thinning as a result of taking Arimidex? I know that being thrown into Menopause prematurely is also contributing to this issue, but my Oncologist reports that some of his other patients on this protocol are experiencing this same side effect. The thinning is occurring primarily at the hairlines that surround my face. I'd appreciate any feedback on this issue that can be provided. My best to everyone. Donna

Forgot to mention the same small percentage also suffered thinning hair.tlmac said:Hi Donna, A small percentage of women (2-5%) who participated in the clinical trials for Arimidex experienced anemia as a side effect. I've been on it for about 20 months now and feel lucky I only suffer the aching joints.

YES I AM HAVING THE SAME HAIR THINNING PROBLEM AND I DID NOT HAVE CHEMO. HAD LUMPECTOMY RADIATION AND NOW ON ARIMIDEX FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. I CALLED THE MANUFACTURE AND THEY TOLD ME THIS IS A SIDE EFFECT. THEY CAN NOT TELL ME IF HAIR WILL COME BACK ONCE I AM OFF OF THE ARIMIDEX. I SURE HOPE IT DOES.0
