Chemo Break

Happy Holidays to all my csn friends. I am on a chemo break, hopefully a long one. My last day of chemo was November 19th and my ca125 is in the normal range, it has gone up a little but it just at the high side of normal.
November 20th while climbing into a deer stand I fell about 10 feet and broke my ankle and am still hobbling around on crutches. Hopefully in January the bone has mended, with the help of the screw the doc put in, and I'll be able to start walking on it. Boy has it limited my shopping and is keeping me housebound. Thank the Lord it was during a chemo break so it can heal.
On my last CT Scan it showed I had an abdominal hernia, but the Doc said not to worry about it. It is quite normal that this happens as we get chemo right after surgery and the incisions don't heal well.
Well I wrote more than I intended. I just wanted to wish everyone a very merry christmas and a spirit filled new year!
We give thanks to enjoy our family and friends during this wonderful season. I also thank God for this website and all of you wonderful, supportive women.
Prayers and Hugs Bonnie

Amen Bonnie Q Hope you have an awesome holiday, celebrating our Lord and Saviors birth. I am so excited to be with all my family and friends.
I am so glad you are doing well and on a break from Chemo, you are going to have to take it easy though and let people take care of you. Merry Christmas to all and I love that spirit filled New Year.God Bless you and you are always in my prayers Jan0 -
Bonnie, you are such an inspiration to me. So, were you hunting? That's quite a hefty fall - so glad it's something that will heal soon. And so happy it's during your 'break'.
My CA125, as mentioned in another post, is fluctuating, but we'll keep an eye on it. The Lord is faithful and I'm holding on to His promises, as I do for each for our CSN friends.
Have a blessed holiday season, a safe and healthy one, and enjoy the 'time off' during the holidays.
God Bless you!

BONNIE!
I just read your post today (Christmas) and I am SO pleased to hear your numbers are so low. What a Christmas gift!
Now....Girl you put me to shame! I can not believe that you broke your ankle while hunting dere. I am lucky if I can get to the mail box.
You are quite the tough lady and although I am sorry you broke your ankle...I got a good chuckle just thinking about you being out there after those deer! Hope you bagged one!
Hugs,
Sandi (TealRibbon)0
