New to Board

Hi. I am new to the board & would like to help. I had a total thyroidectomy (papillary & dif. ca.) 7 lymph nodes removed & parathyroid resection & 1-131 rx. In Spring I will be 10 years cancer free. If I can help ease anyones fears, I would love 2 help. Back in those 'olden days' when I was diagnosed we didn't have a pc in our home)to discuss things like this. LOL.

    Karen, Thanks for writing I am a 29 year old woman who was dianosed with papillary/follicular carcinoma with lymph node involvement in August. I had a TT in august with 11 lymph nodes removed. Anything that you can add would be wonderful I am scheduled to have my RAI on Jan 17th

    Hi Karen I just had a thyroidectomy on Dec 2 and it was canceres. I am on 25mcg twice a day of Cytomel for 5 more weeks and then I will do the radioactive iodine.
