Oh my I remember having this. I would go and sit in the hot tub and try to relax as much as possible. oxycodone the drug also seemed to work so so. the key is not to scratck which you cant help and I was bleeding it itched so bad. but tryt massaging or tapping the itching areas.
Relaxing worked best but there isnt alot you can do other than get an ERCP to place a stent in the duct. hopefully your waiting for this or surgery.

Thanks Jen. The oxycodone didn't work that well. My mom is scheduled for an ERCP next week, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. If you come across any topical, herbal, or homeopathic itch releaf, let me know. Thanks a bunch for your response.isletcell said:Oh my I remember having this. Im glad you responded. Unfortunatly distraction or relaxation is all that helped me. However, it goes away very quickly after the ercp. Ill keep your family im my prayers.aglass said:Thanks Jen. The ERCP was a lifesaver for my mom. She was going out of her mind from the itching. They placed 2 stents in her biliary tract and the itching and jaundice totally went away. Her bilirubin went from > 35 to < than 3. I would highly recommend an ERCP.isletcell said:Im glad you responded. Unfortunatly distraction or relaxation is all that helped me.
