uterine cancer

I was diagnosed in February, 2023 with uterine cancer and had a hysterectomy on February 27th. Pathology results came back as stage 1B, grade 3. My oncologist has recommended that I do 6 sessions of chemotherapy and 2 radiation treatments. I am skeptical on doing the treatments and would like to hear from others who have done the treatments and ones who have not done treatments.

I did 6 rounds of chemo and 3 radiation treatments (vaginal). I am 13 years cancer free. A lady that had the same cancer as me did only 6 rounds of chemo and choose not to do the radiation. Her cancer came back at the vaginal cuff which radiation treatment targets to avoid that happening. She was 10 years out when it came back and had to have surgery to get a new vaginal cuff. I never heard whether she had to go back on chemo. I'm glad I decided to take my doctor's recommendation. There is a reason they recommend both treatments.

I am a 63 yo post menopausal. I had a MRI do to severe anemia. The MRI incidentally found that my Uterus lining was 1.8 cm. Went to my Gyno and has a vaginally ultrasound. He say a mass with fluid. Scheduled a hysteroscopy and D%C on December 21st. No symptoms except I remember having a watery discharge sometime this year that required me to panty liners. I am terrified of what the could be. Thanks for reading.

Brigitdenese, I know your post was less than a month, so I am hoping you got answers and that everything is ok. If it turns out to be something more, I would suggest posting over on the Uterine board. It is a little quiet but there are a few other ladies who keep an eye on it who are very supportive.
